WSU 101 SUSTAINABILITY: ISSUES, CHALLENGES AND PROSPECTS
CGSS, USM with regard to formal curriculum development is the introduction of the elective sustainability course WSU 101 (Sustainability: Issues, Challenges and Prospects). This course emphasizes the implementation of sustainable development through the study of global case studies and examples drawn from sustainability programme from around the world. At the end of the course, students are expected to demonstrate their level of sustainability understanding through group projects. Additionally, this course aims to expose students to latest developments in the sustainability studies agenda while nurturing the skills needed toward developing sustainability-oriented programmes. Although this course is designed and taught by CGSS, it is offered under the USM Co-Curriculum Centre as one of the option for co-curriculum unit for undegraduate students.
