Regional Sejahtera Education for Sustainable Development Network (RSEN)

The Regional Sejahtera Education for Sustainable Development Network (RSEN) is a dynamic network of local and regional stakeholders in Penang engaged in collaborative undertakings such as research and development in key thematic areas of ESD. RSEN was launched in May 2014 and currently counts with more than 40 (educational institutions, local government agencies and non-governmental organisations). RSEN has a Council of Members that meet at least once a year to discuss strategic priorities and activities.

Goals & Objectives of RSEN

RSEN aims to:

  • share information and best practices in ESD
  • exchange ideas and activities in ESD
  • joint collaborations in projects on ESD
  • Promote sustainable development training opportunities for school teachers, teacher educators and school administrators
  • Collaborate with ‘Sejahtera Club’ under RCE ESD Penang in primary and secondary schools
  • Collaborate with RCE Sejahtera Youth to provide volunteerism platform for ESD among youth in institutions of learning
