“Building Resilience to Climate Change Risk and Vulnerability to Meet Water Security Challenges" Workshop

The Deputy Director of CGSS, Dr Mohd Sayuti Hassan has been invited to become one of the panels in a regional workshop titled “Building Resilience to Climate Change Risk and Vulnerability to Meet Water Security Challenges” organized by UNESCO, in partnership with River Engineering and Urban Drainage Research Centre (REDAC) Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM) on 10 to 11 July 2017 in Langkawi, Kedah. The regional workshop gathered experts working in the field of water to share their knowledge and best practices in improving the water security particularly in Asia. The workshop is jointly organized by the UNESCO International Hydrological Programme (IHP) and the UNESCO Jakarta as Regional Science Bureau for Asia and the Pacific. Dr Sayuti contributed his knowledge regarding Disaster Risk Management in the panel sessions of Day 1 and Day 2 “Asia-Africa Science Policy Dialogue on Building Resilience to Climate Change Risk and Vulnerability to Meet Water Security Challenges”.
